First it was Domino’s Pizza, now it’s Jollibee! With Domino’s Pizza being the latest hot spot in Kota Kinabalu, we’ve gained another hot spot as Jollibee has opened its franchise in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Known as “the McDonald’s of Philippines”, parking their 1st Malaysia outlet at Centre Point with their grand opening on 15/12/2018 (Saturday)! And did you know, this is technically the first branch in Malaysia. Back in the 1990s, Jollibee has already made its way to Sabah, but unfortunately had to shut down in 1997 due to the Asian Financial crisis back then. They decided to reopen in the East Malaysia because Sabah is nearer to Philippines and has a large community of Filipinos.
Jollibee is a popular Philippines fast food joint. They are well-known for their tasty fried chicken, spaghetti pan, cheesy hotdog bun and many more! We’re glad to have a taste of their lip-smacking menu!
Overall, SEATS.my would like to give Jollibee a big hug as we welcome them back to Kota Kinabalu. Jollibee’s return is great news for them and also for us! And fellow Sabahans, we now get bragging rights to our West Malaysian friends because we get Jollibee before they could!
