8 Treasure Chicken in Ancient Dough

Roaring into the Year of the Tiger, the chefs in SICC Brunch Buffet Chinatown masterfully designed to recreate a traditional dish from scratch – the Beggar’s Chicken from the flavours of eastern Chinese cuisine, 8 Treasure Chicken in Ancient Dough is a spectacularly rich meal and an ethereal culinary experience. The toasted lotus leaf carries the aromatic and authentic flavours, fusing the condiments, the chicken, and the herbs into one memorable mouthful.

This delicacy is best served with freshly ground steamed rice and soy sauce, serving as the pale light to a complex background of soy, ginger, sesame, white pepper, red chilli, ginger, and an array of other plant-based spices, herbs, and condiments. The taste of succulent chicken and rich herbs inside the ancient dough make the 8 treasure chicken the ultimate Chinese New Year delicacy. The special recipes ensure every bite is roasted to perfection, maintaining the quality of the herbs.

As the wheel of fortune turns, so do the foods you look forward to eating. The Chinese believe money and prosperity flow down with gratitude to our ancestors, therefore, many Chinese meals revolve around shared dishes that represent this. One of the representative dishes on Chinese New Year is roast honey chicken, which is offered to bring luck and reunite families. If you’re sick of greasy fast-food chicken, bring in the taste of quality chicken cooked right when you order with roast honey chicken.

Salted Egg Prawn

Eating an egg represents good fortune for Chinese people during the Chinese New Year. Prawn is not only seen as auspicious food but also is plump and generous. Therefore, salted egg prawn is a symbol of wealth and tasty happiness. As a Chinese tradition, salted egg prawns are almost always available during the Chinese New Year.

Now you can have generous servings of tasty salted egg prawns anytime you wish. The salted egg yolk has a distinctively smooth and silky texture, highly flavored and with a salty aftertaste. It is apt and quite popular as a topping to rice or noodles. The success of this dish lies in its simplicity and delicate appetizing taste. Everyone will enjoy it with their family and friends alike.

Longevity Noodles with superior sauce

This seasonal delicacy is sure to have each visitor marveling at the exquisite flavors on your tongue. This noodle dish is a tribute to longevity. Enjoy a delicious bowl full of longevity noodles with a sweet and sour sauce that comes with a hefty serving of protein of your choice (beef or chicken) that will guarantee you will not feel hungry.

The noodles taste great and the texture is very soft. When do you see noodles on the menu and regret the fact that you didn’t order them? From now on, there will be extra noodles on your table anytime your want.

Steamed Garoupa

Garoupa fish, also known as red carp – is known as the fish of wealth in Chinese folklore. However, it’s tastier than you can imagine. This is a dish you need to try during Chinese New Year. Chinese Garoupa looks simple, like a small carp, but just wait. Wrapped with a layer of fat, the clear and fragrant sauce is full of aged herbs and condiments.

The skin is crisp, leaving the skin of the tree glossiness inside, which means good fish, fresh and delicious. But the best part is just how juicy it tastes. A really good steamed fish requires a lot of skill and effort and requires careful attention to minute details, and the chefs in the dim sum restaurants have mastered this. Garoupa will be a perfect meal during the Chinese New Year.
