7 Delicious Reasons To Visit The Palace Hotel This Ramadan

As many of you may know, I am a huge foodie. I love food and trying new things. I’ve written here a blog post about the Ramadan Buffet promotion at The Palace Hotel. So if you’re looking for a good place to take your family for the feast, come check out The Palace Hotel!

If you’re already a guest of The Palace Hotel during Ramadan, you’re in for a treat. Not only do they have traditional Ramadan dishes that are delicious but another thing that makes this buffet so special is that they have an all-you-can-eat buffet.

The Muslim holy month of Ramadan is upon us. What better way to celebrate the beginning of the month than with a Ramadan Feast at The Palace Hotel? One of the most popular ways to celebrate is with the Ramadan Buffet. This buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, from Middle Eastern delicacies to local cuisine.

It features traditional dishes, such as an entire Roasted Lamb, Satay, Prawn, Fried Chicken, Fish, and many more. It’s an amazing deal for anyone looking to get their fill of all things Middle Eastern.

What can you expect from The Palace Hotel buffet?

There’s too much to choose from the all-you-can-eat buffet, so I only had a few dishes. But here are the list of food that I’ve tried and maybe you should too.

Halwa

I started with the Halwa, which is near to where I sat. The best thing about Halwa is that it’s made with brown sugar and so it’s really sweet.

The Halwa is made with lots of fruits and coconut flakes I believe. And it’s not an overly sweet dessert, but it has a nice balance of sweetness. If you’re looking for something with a little bit of flavor and is not too sweet, Halwa is a good place to start!

Chicken and Beef Satay

Satay is a popular food from Malaysia. It’s made by grilling meat on skewers over a fire and dipping it in a sweet, spicy, and sour sauce or a sauce made with peanuts (which they served).

It’s usually served as an appetizer or snacks, but I thought it would be fun to try it as a main course, I had a lot of satays that night and I definitely had no regrets.

The satay wasn’t too spicy, the meat was really tender, and the sauce was tasty- all in all, it was pretty good! The chicken got a good flavor to it and is very filling.

Roasted Lamb

What did I think of it? It was really good! It was tender and juicy, it had good seasoning, and it was cooked perfectly. It’s always good to have a lamb dish in a buffet because it’s such a nice dish to try.

Lamb is underrated meat, in my opinion. Roasted lamb is tender and juicy. The meat is super flavorful and has a nice, roasted taste.

You can choose which part you want and get the chef to cut it for you. This has always been one of my favorite parts when eating lamb, but beware when choosing the parts – some parts may be too rare for some preferences.

Fried Squid

I was really in the mood for fried squid. It was a little bit chewy but it was crunchy on the skin, the batter was light and crisp while the flavor was so good.

The crunchy and light coating on the squid made it enjoyable to eat and the size of the squid was perfect– not too big or too small.

It makes me want to go back to the buffet and try more fried squid.

Carbs

There’s plenty of carbs to pair with the roasted lamb such as the yellow rice, kerabu or noodle. Nothing much to say here.

But I do prefer the Bamboo rice from the satay station.

Fried Stuffs (Besides Satay, there’s Lekor, Ubi and Banana)

Fried food is a tried and true way to get a big day of eating done. Whether you’re fasting for Ramadan or just on a tight budget, fried food is a great option. But sometimes, fried food can be greasy and not so healthy.

But this is a good choice of food if after your main meal, you’re still craving for food.

Desserts

If you’ve ever been to a buffet, you know that they usually have some kind of dessert for people to try. These desserts usually vary in price, so it’s really up to the individual to decide whether they should try a dish or not.

But if you’re like me and you love desserts, sometimes it can be difficult to decide which dessert to choose.

There are so many sweet treats that it can be really overwhelming when it comes to deciding what dessert to pick. So I decided to try Creme Brulee, something that I had never tried before. It was surprisingly delicious and satisfying.

Creme Brulee

Creme Brulee is a French dessert that has a vanilla custard, caramelized sugar and a crunchy topping. It’s basically a combination of two things- a crunchy sugar crust and a creamy custard.

Creme Brulee is one of my favorite desserts to have. One of the reasons I like it so much is because I love cream and sugar. This dessert is just the right amount of both. It has a really nice and sweet flavor that isn’t overwhelming and it leaves you with a light but satisfying sweet aftertaste.

If you are looking for a dessert that will have your taste buds jumping for joy then this is it!

Ice Creams

Ice Cream is one of my favorite desserts. It melts in your mouth, it tastes refreshing and just generally makes me happy. I had a chance to try out an ice cream buffet and I got to eat some pretty amazing flavors.

But the best part of the buffet was that you get to choose the flavor of your ice cream! Sadly – they only have two flavors available, Strawberry and Vanilla.

The sprinkles was enough to make up for it though.

Summary:

Have you been looking for a restaurant that has a Ramadan buffet? Well, look no further.
